Perform on the job training of practical factors of the marine machinist trade using mock ups/simulators and actual shipboard demonstrations.
Required Skills and Experiences:
Minimum 5 years experience in marine machinist valve and component repair of ship related work.
Knowledge of Naval Shipyard operations.
Experience in valve overhaul, shaft repair, hydraulics, steam components and mast operations as well as an understanding of precision measuring instruments, systems cleanliness and material requirements.
Degree Requirements:
High School diploma or GED
