Night Dispatcher

Modern Chevrolet Parts Warehouse has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Night Dispatcher to assist with a growing collision, mechanical, and powertrain parts business.

Drivers:

Make sure all routes are covered each day
Make adjustments and substitute when drivers need to be off
Deliveries and Pickups: Trace down any problems of shortages and contact the appropriate people
Arrange for pickups at dealers and tire distributers
Make sure all parts get to the correct hub each night
Straighten up route bins double checking nothing was missorted
Run a truck of parts to necessary hub if there is a driver absence or the linehaul blown out
Clean up manifest. Add or remove any shipments for the next day
Prepare manifest before the driver leaves for their route. Adding or deleting any shipments necessary
Ensure each driver has a vehicle for their route
Handle all communication with linehaul and early morning drivers
Relay any vital information to necessary personal at end of shift
Manage company phone during shift for call outs, linehaul or shipping issues
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prior dispatch and logistical experience are a plus.
Attention to detail.
Outstanding leadership and communication skills.
Team player
Comfortable with technology.
