Add your talent to ours and make a difference around the world!The Senior Commodity Manager is a key member of the NA Procurement Team responsible for ensuring the continuous supply of assigned commodities and maintaining thorough market knowledge of assigned commodities.
Market knowledge will include for example foundational information related to feedstocks; availability of sources; and supply risks.Position is remote based within one - two hours of Chapel Hill, NC.

Partnerships should emphasize sourcing stability and driving total cost savings.
Consideration should be given to material cost savings; reductions to Armacell's working capital costs; risk mitigation; as well as sustainability.
Develop and implement short-, mid-, and long-term Procurement Strategies for assigned categories.Prepare and execute negotiationsWorks to ensure accuracy of business information (PPV, payment terms, sourcing master data, etc) related to the purchasing function.Continually works to drive efficiencies and ensure that established procedures are followed.Serve as the lead in developing new procedures for the NA Procurement Team.Serves as a resource to other departments when new sourcing is needed.Serves as SME on SAP purchasing providing support to Plant Purchasing as needed.Tracks supplier performance driving improvements with suppliers.Updates SAP, order files and other Purchasing data bases as required.
Gains knowledge of supply industries and seeks opportunities that support Armacell's Best Cost Supplier business strategy.Arranges for technical sessions with suppliers and Armacell personnel as needed.Provides any needed support for audits (WAM, Quality, etc.)Support and participate in global sourcing activities as needed.Job Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred, Associate's degree required or related combination education and experience required.Minimum of 8 years of purchasing experience in manufacturing environment required; 2 years of experience related to packaging preferredStrong Negotiating skills required.CPSM certification preferred.Ability to excel in a cross-cultural, global team environment.Possesses professional written and verbal communication skills.Possesses strong analytical and problem solving skills.Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and SAP.Knowledge of feedstocks, chemicals, rubber and polyethylene purchasing required.General Purchasing knowledge of indirect commodities.Posting DatesJuly 1, 2024 - July 12, 2024The expected annual base salary for this role is $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 DOE.
The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year.
The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience, and location.
Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws.
For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
