Production Assistants support manufacturing processes by completing the following tasks:
reviewing the Manufacturing Order for specific product requirements; inspecting parts and materials prior to and during use to ensure quality of parts and final products, implementing the best practices in manufacturing processes while producing and packaging the product and preparing orders for shipping, reporting orders accurately, maintaining organization in the area, attention to details, time management and effective communication.Our ideal Production Assistant is awesome at the following:
Strong desire to help and take ownership on seeing things throughCurious, with a desire to always learn more, including strong problem-solving skills Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently with minimal supervision Effectively communicates, both written and verbally Troubleshoot basic and routine manufacturing issuesAbility to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly As a Production Assistant you will:
Efficiently inspect product to ensure quality then pack finished goods to ensure order accuracy and meet customer expectationsExamine product for ink smears, position of design, print clarity, color accuracy or other defects and report issues immediately for correctionEnsure that the proper supplies are being used for packagingMust be able to read, understand and follow Manufacturing Orders to make sure orders are printed according to specifications (quality, accuracy and layout)Package product for shipping, making sure proper box size and packing procedures are followed and ensuring that only products meeting quality standards are packed to ship to our customersComplete reporting and necessary daily paperwork as instructed, including production log of quantity produced, scrap and related informationAssist with performing preventive maintenance duties or changeover duties, such as daily cleaning and lubricating.Maintain a clean and neat work areaActively participate in and support teamwork and continuous process improvement.Demonstrate flexibility and commitment through cross training and helping other departments consistent with business needsPerform duties safely and in accordance with company safety policies.Perform other duties as assigned or requested by supervisor/management.
Minimum qualifications:
Reading, writing and math skills equivalent to that identified by a High School Diploma or GEDExperience in 5S and Lean ManufacturingUnderstand basic manufacturing process Able to work with multiple priorities and peopleMaintain inventory storage in a clean, orderly mannerStrong attention to detail, organization and time management skillsAbility to professionally communicate and work with othersAbility to reach, bend, twist, grasp and stand for long periods of time.Ability to lift up to 40 45 pounds frequently and to assist in team lifts at a higher weight.Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime (including weekend shifts) as required when business volumes increase.Koozie Group is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
