Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Accounts Payables, General Ledger, Accrual Accounting, Job Costing, and advanced proficiency in Excel. This role will play a crucial part in month-end processing and will eventually transition into a key player in forecasting and budgeting activities.

Key Responsibilities for Accountant:

Accounts Payables Management:
- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures regarding invoice processing, payment approvals, and vendor relations.
General Ledger Maintenance:
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by recording accurate and timely journal entries.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Accrual Accounting:
- Implement and maintain accrual accounting principles to accurately reflect financial performance and obligations.
Job Costing:
- Develop and maintain a robust job costing system to accurately allocate costs and track project profitability.
- Analyze job cost data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization.
Excel Analysis and Process Improvements:
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data, create insightful reports, and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Streamline accounting processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Month-End Processing:
- Lead month-end close activities, including preparation of financial statements, reconciliations, and accruals.
- Ensure deadlines are met and financial reporting is accurate and reliable.
Forecasting and Budgeting:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop accurate financial forecasts and budgets.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on historical data and current market trends.

Qualifications for Accountant role:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Expert-level proficiency in Excel.
Strong understanding of accrual accounting principles and month-end close processes.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Proven track record of process improvement and innovation.
Experience in forecasting and budgeting is a plus.
