JOB SUMMARY The Certified Nursing Assistant partners with our residents and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment by providing direct and indirect care. # 3 East is a 31-bed specialized unit, working with Alzheimer#s/dementia residents, and tailoring care to meet their needs. Key aspects of this unit are the use of both verbal and non-verbal communication techniques, understanding the difficult behaviors that are sometimes associated with residents that have Alzheimer#s/Dementia, as well as understanding that these behaviors can be valid communications.# It provides needed care to those residents needing long-term placement in a home-like environment.# JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION Graduate of Maine State Board-approved CNA course Valid on the State of Maine CNA registry EXPERIENCE 1#3 years previous CNA experience#preferred# Will consider new CNAs with relevant work experience OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED Medical#terminology preferred Strong teamwork and communication skills are required. JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION
• Graduate of Maine State Board-approved CNA course
• Valid on the State of Maine CNA registry

EXPERIENCE
• 1-3 years previous CNA experience preferred
• Will consider new CNAs with relevant work experience

OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED
• Medical terminology preferred
• Strong teamwork and communication skills are required.
• The ability to work well within a team of other care providers
