Medical Assistant/Patient Service Representative Float Position Summary

As a member of the care team, the Medical Assistant/Patient Service Representative Hybrid provides both clinical care and front desk administrative service to patients in a medical office setting.
Duties include but are not limited to clinical, administrative and clerical tasks such as assisting providers, rooming patients, taking vitals, intake of medical history and medications, registration duties, scheduling appointments, insurance verification, referrals and authorizations and quality customer service.
The Float position offers a stipend paid for mileage per shift worked!

Medical Assistant/Patient Service Representative Float Position Requirements

Our Medical Assistant/Patient Service Representative Float positions offer short-term coverage in geographically centered locations to cover absences, vacations, and staff shortages.
Medical Assistant/Patient Service Representative Float personnel gain experience in a variety of practice specialties, such as Family Practice, Gastroenterology, and Nephrology.

This Float Position is assigned to the Millsboro, Berlin and Ocean Pines areas.

High School graduate or equivalent required.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Medical Assistant certification from an approved Medical Assistant program preferred.
At least one year of administrative/customer service experience required.
Previous experience in a health care environment strongly preferred.
Experience with an electronic health record (EPIC) preferred.
Reliable transportation-the MA/PSR Float will work in different Primary & Specialty care offices in a regional location once training is complete.
Current American Heart Association - Basic Life Support CPR certification required.

Medical Assistant/Patient Service Representative Float Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, Day Shift.

Medical Assistant/Patient Service Representative Float Benefits

At TidalHealth, full-time employees working at least 80 hours per pay period and part-time employees working at least 40 hours per pay period are eligible for benefits.
