General Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Accounting, the Payroll Coordinator is responsible for managing all key functions to ensure the timely and accurate processing of payroll on a bi-weekly basis using ADP Workforce Now.
This position will utilize many key areas of the ADP website, including Smart Compliance and the ADP Reporting Dashboard and Custom Reports.
The Payroll Coordinator will be an important member of the Finance team and will be involved in various annual audits, will conduct reviews and reconciliations of monthly employee benefit vendor invoices vs.
payroll deductions, and will collaborate with the Human Resources team.
They will manage the Payroll Inquiries email inbox and will work collaboratively with the Accounting Coordinator on the review of the bi-weekly payroll drafts prior to final approval of each pay cycle.

Education and Experience:

Associate degree in a business-related field; or in lieu of a degree, 2 years of relevant experience may be substituted.
3 years' experience in a payroll related role required.
ADP Workforce Now payroll system experience required.

Experience working with payroll websites or systems (ADP specifically) & accounting automated systems is needed.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Manage all key payroll functions within ADP Workforce Now to ensure the timely & accurate processing of payroll on a bi-weekly basis to support approximately 290+ and growing pays.
Collaborate with departmental managers, supervisors, and the HR team to ensure all support and approvals are received timely, to meet the bi-weekly payroll processing deadline of 2:
30pm Tuesday for each payroll cycle.
This will require occasional work on holidays in order to meet these deadlines, and holiday premium pay will be paid at time and a half.
Monitor and manage the Payroll Inquiries email inbox to prepare support for various staff-initiated or HR team approved changes.
Utilize ADP Reporting Dashboard and Custom Reports to generate, update, and distribute various payroll related reports to management and other Finance roles.
Utilize ADP Smart Compliance to ensure all payroll-related regulatory accounts are set up & kept in good standing, with all needed filings and updates made as needed in each jurisdiction.
Process and respond to all court-ordered garnishments, as appropriate.
Compare employee bi-weekly payroll deductions against various monthly fringe benefits invoices to reconcile and resolve any discrepancies, refunds, or adjustments (including health, dental, vision, 401k contributions & loans, life and AD&D insurance, legal insurance, and pet insurances).
Collaborate with the HR team to manage the Unemployment Services Trust account activity and assist with reconciliation of funds for any claims approved by the HR team.
Work with HR to complete ADP portion of Donation University training for all new hire cohorts.
Maintain all payroll-related support on the Finance SharePoint network drives.
Assist with month-end and year-end close, financial audits, retirement plan audits & filings, worker's compensation insurance audit, payroll & staffing analysis projects, and other functions of the Finance department as needed.
Research issues and resolve employee questions, contacting & utilizing ADP support as needed directly to resolve any complex issues.
Manage any ADP support service tickets including setup and testing of new pay codes or other ADP fields.
Protects organization's value by keeping information strictly confidential.
Other duties as assigned.
