•Build relationships with and educate our customers in order to create sales.
•Verify customer information on receipt matches actual prescription container at pick up.
•Gather and record drop-off information needed to prepare prescription.
•Gather prescription refill orders on a daily basis.
•Help patients find over the counter medications without making a recommendation.
•Operate a cash register.
Requirements
•Ability to represent A Culture of Caring and The Pursuit of Excellence™ through Big Y's Firm Foundations™ (Character, Collaboration, Personal Development, Actions & Results).
•MA - Able to pass Pharmacy Technician Registration after 500-1000 hours of training.
•CT - Must complete state application process and work with a registered tech for 30 days to become registered.
•Must have a high school diploma, GED or enrolled in GED program.
•Must complete HIPAA training.
•Must project a clean and professional appearance.
•Must be a team player with a positive attitude and businesslike conduct.
•Ability to operate within Company policies, procedures, and standards.
•Ability to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the needs of the pharmacy.
•Attention to detail, accuracy, ability to prioritize and follow-through.
•Possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
•Ability to learn and utilize computer applications.
•Must be 18 years of age.
•Must consent to and pass a drug screen and background investigation.
