DescriptionKforce's client, a Billion dollar publicly traded company with several public and private subsidiaries is searching for a Senior Manager Financial Reporting in Newton, MA.Responsibilities:
• Prepare and file quarterly and annual SEC reports, including Form 10-Qs, 10-Ks, 8-Ks, and proxy statements, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
• Prepare quarterly earnings release and earnings presentation
• Manage the internal and external review process of all SEC filings with senior management, external auditors, and legal counsel
• Be the key liaison with the Controller and CFO on all technical matters of the company & its subsidiaries
• Monitor and evaluate the potential impact of new authoritative guidance from the FASB and SEC
• Ensure effectiveness of internal controls and adherence to US GAAP, SEC and other applicable standards and regulations
• Coordinate and prepare board and committee materials
• Develop strong working relationships with cross-functional teams, internal and external auditors, and external consultants
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis for senior leaders and executives as needed
• Communicate to related departments on technical accounting and reporting matters
• Perform other duties as assignedRequirements
• BSBA in Accounting or Finance
• CPA strongly preferred
• 8+ years of relevant SEC & technical accounting experience
• Combination of public company SEC reporting experience and public accounting experience preferred
• Comprehensive understanding of SEC reporting requirements and US GAAP
• Strong organizational skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
