• Job summary:
• The Iron Technician I provides assembly and testing of various mechanical components.
• What you will do:
• + At SPM Oil & Gas, our primary objective is to provide our customers with excellent engineering solutions through our products and superior customer service
• Process incoming iron starts to finish.  Able to accept equipment from delivery, recertify equipment, load equipment for delivery, complete all associate paperwork, perform quality check, and manage inventory (without supervision)
• Understand customer requirements throughout the entire refurbishment of flow control product to produce high quality product
• Clean, strip and inspect all required flow control components
• Prepare flow control products for Gauging, Ultra Sonic, and MPI inspections
• Disassemble of flow control products per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
• Provides proper care and maintenance of all shop tools, equipment, and work area
• Exhibit and always advocate exemplary safety culture
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• What you will have:
• + Ability to operate hand tools such as pneumatic tooling
• Possess a sound Mechanical Aptitude
• Demonstrate consistency, accountability, reliability, and solid work ethic
• What Top Candidates will have:
• + Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Working knowledge of oil and gas equipment

• Physical Demands:
• + Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
• Required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Consistently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
• Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department
• Work Environment:
• + Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles
• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions
• Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration
• Noise Level: Moderate
