The Material Handler is responsible for safely moving inventory within the warehouse, loading trucks according to written specifications, and unloading trucks.
The Material Handler uses overhead cranes and forklifts to move steel coils, sheet, plate, and parts.
In addition, the Handler may be called upon for packing finished product, assisting machine operators, and performing other duties within the warehouse, as needed.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent is preferredOperational knowledge of overhead crane and forklift requiredExperience scanning and organizing inventory strongly preferredStrong attention to detail with ability to stay organizedAbility to work well independently and while given directionWhy Work for Olympic Steel:
