Department Overview As a world leader in wireless, broadband and internet technologies, Motorola Solutions is making products smarter - and life better - by unleashing the creativity of thousands of professionals from every corner of the globe. The Product Safety and Regulatory Compliance and Carrier team is responsible for ensuring our products meet regulatory, country and carrier certification requirements and partner with engineering teams around the world.
Disseminate new carrier requirements to cross functional Engineering teams to ensure certification compliance

Review Lab test capabilities and scope and provide technical guidance approval for their use.

Plan and estimate proper certification budgets on NPI programs and MR programs. Lead the review of the estimates provided by the 3rd parties, with collaboration from program manager, software building blocks and carrier certification manager

Publish Certification Technical Requirement Document at the New Product initiation phase

Review PICS, Carrier features, Carrier test plans and test reports for Products and provide guidance to the test labs

Work with R&D to create H/W and S/W Release Notes tailored for Carrier submission throughout lifecycle of Products

Submit and complete PTCRB and GCF certification for NPI programs by working closely with 3rd Party Labs and Engineering teams, helping to mitigate any test case defects to
closure

Additional Qualified Skills:
Familiar with the New Product Introduction processes in a cellular wireless environment
Provide Device Engineering subject matter expertise in LTE technology
3 years of experience launching new cellular products with NA carrier certification
experience with Wireless Carriers such as VZW, AT&T, or T-Mobile
Good understanding of carrier and wireless industry such as PTCRB, GCF, WFA and BT
SIG) certification process
Good technical understanding of wireless communication systems and de vice side architectures
Good understanding 3GPP air interface protocols, WLAN, LTE and 5G technology
Preferred Qualification:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good organizational skills in a multi-faceted team environment and handling multiple program
Preferred to have experience working for Cellular device OEMs like Samsung, Motorola, LG and/or telecom Carriers

Basic Requirements 3 years of technical program management experience in wireless industry

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related
