The R&D Tool Shop moved from our Bridgeview Facility to its current location to Bedford Park in 2009 and was renamed the Innovation Center.
The facility houses 22 CNC Machine Tools, a prototype center, and various grinding and assembly equipment.
The Innovation Center has approximately 30 shop employees as well as product and tool designers, project managers and Corporate Engineering staff.
The Innovation Center earned Pactiv's annual Safety and Environmental awards for the past three years with zero incidents.

Responsibilities:

The Night Shift Production Supervisor is responsile for:

Manage, direct and coordinate all activities related to a production shift to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality
Typically supervises 50 plus employees
Coordinate with Scheduler to ensure daily production requirements are achieved
Carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring & training employees
Planning, assigning & directing work
Appraising performance
Rewarding & disciplining employees
Addressing complaints & resolving problems
Ensure all production data is gathered and reported correctly on a daily basis
Support & improve upon Quality initiatives designed to meet plant goals
Ensures safety programs are implemented effectively, reviewed regularly and revised as necessary

Qualifications:

Job Qualifications:

BA/BS degree preferred (business, engineering)
2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting
Willing and able to work 7pm-7am on a 2-2-3 schedule
Good verbal & interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work well in group situations
Ability to deal effectively with conflict in mature & consistent manner
Good computer skills
SAP experience preferred
