The work location for this position is in Lewiston, Idaho
This is a PRN position (On-Call - No Benefits) - you will receive an additional 15% PRN pay in lieu of benefits
HOURS: 6:00am - 4:30pm
POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs nuclear and nonnuclear cardiac stress test.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Assists with scheduling outpatient treadmill stress tests.
Explains purpose and procedure of stress test to patient.
Prepares patient for testing which includes set up of modified 12 lead EKG and continuous monitoring throughout entirety of test with rhythm identification and interpretation.
Maintain/clean stress test machines and equipment.
Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise with stress testing equipment.
Verify all necessary supplies are available, stocked, and reviews for expiration dates regularly.
Performs routine and emergency EKG acquisition, management of MUSE platform. Downloads, collates, prepares for physician interpretation; transcribes physician interpretations into database system, and processes confirmed reports. Demonstrates basic understanding of EKG configuration and rhythm recognition.
Will be responsible to take call after clinic hours for testing needed.

Qualifications

Required:
HS diploma or GED
BLS on first day or to be assigned by the Learning Center
ACLS - within 3-months of hire (to be assigned by the Learning Center)
One of the following:
Registered Nurse (RN)
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Exercise Physiology Certification
1-year of experience in Cardiac Stress Test Laboratory can replace the above licensure/certification
