The Northeast K-12 team at College Board is a dynamic, high-energy teamfocused on expanding opportunity for students by partnering witheducators in high schools, school districts, and state departments ofeducation.
We sit within State & District Partnerships (100+ staff), ahighly engaged group that works to provide opportunities to studentsthrough promoting the use of College Board programs and servicesincluding assessments (SAT, PSAT, & AP), BigFuture and College BoardSearch.
About the Opportunity
As a Director of K-12, you are directly responsible for managingrelationships with key stakeholders at schools, districts, states,and/or associations within an assigned territory.
Your ability to builddeep and meaningful relationships within this community plays a criticalrole in the region\'s and the division\'s ability to meet goals relatedto expanding access to College Board programs.
When K-12 leaders in yourterritory have the information they need to select and implement CollegeBoard programs that will best serve their students, it\'s because ofyour expertise, clear communication, ability to analyze and distilldata, and skill to build strategic partnership plans that advancestudent success.
In this role, you will:

Develop Strategy and Approach to Partnerships with Districts and/orStates (50%)
Proactively apply understanding of full K-12 educational landscapein your assigned territory to develop & execute a state or districtstrategy plan in consultation with the Regional Vice President, K-12Executive Director, Senior Director, and other departments, asnecessary.
This may include serving as a state lead in 1 or morecomplex or priority states.
Consistently build and maintain accountmanagement planning processes and business review with each assignedaccount
Deeply understand state- and district-specific opportunities andproblems to provide data-driven, personalized solutions that meetstate and district needs, with the goal of maintaining and growingbusiness across your assigned territory
Independently analyze and identify trends using College Board datasources in an assigned territory to develop recommendations forstrategy that align to the larger state and regional goals
Independently develop & execute account and state (where applicable)strategies balancing a growth orientation with a focus onservice-model implementation, and guiding/directing peer or juniorcolleagues where appropriate
Work in partnership with regional staff members on strategies forincreasing volumes, driving growth and ensuring the appropriatetraining and/or implementation plans are executed on
Set and track progress towards meeting ambitious goals that expandpost-secondary opportunities for students
{=html} - Develop and deliver a secure sales pipeline by using datastrategically to align College Board programs/services withstate/district partner priorities- Plan & conduct in-depth, sometimes customized, workshops andprofessional development programs for K-12 constituent groups- Manage implementation of state contracts and service/support modelswhen applicable
Manage Complex External Relationships and Internal Relationships (30%)
Build and maintain strong relationships with appropriatecontacts/decision-makers at external organizations, superintendents,and key state agency or district staff in large and complexdistricts and/or states to drive yield and adoption across statesand influential districts.
Partner with colleagues both within region and across SDP tostrengthen collective work (e.g., identify interdependencies andstrategic opportunities)
Based on your portfolio, provide coaching and support to juniorstaff members on account strategy
Execute Internal Processes & Manage Regional Projects (20%)
Utilize Salesforce CRM for account management, to monitor progresstoward goals, to manage state/district account plans, and forproactive opportunity and task management
Lead or manage divisional or regional projects assigned byleadership
About You
You have:

At least 8 years of relevant and progressive experience in education ora related field; direct experience in assessment, curriculum, or studentachievement initiatives strongly preferred
A passion for education and deep commitment to the College Board\'smission of promoting educational equity, access, and excellence forstudents of all backgrounds
Achievement orientation, with evidence of setting and attaining goals
A demonstrated ability to build deep and meaningful relationships, toinfluence others to action, and to effectively handle multiplesituations simultaneously
Excellent verbal and written communication skill
