As practices, equipment, and technology continue to advance and shift, we can guarantee our tradition of serving for success remains the same; just as it has since 1934.About the JobThe custom applicator is responsible for delivery and application of liquid and dry fertilizer, NH3, ag lime and crop protection products.
In addition, this position performs maintenance and makes repairs and/or adjustments to keep fertilizer application equipment in operating order.
Our applicators typically work 7:
00AM to 5:
00PM Monday through Friday.
We are open on Saturdays from 8:
00AM to 12:
00PM.
Overtime may be required seasonally with overtime paid at 1.5X the regular hourly rate.
Responsibilities:
Prepares proper truck reports and records, including truck maintenance records as requiredMaintain organized application/spray recordsAssists with inventory control through adhering to established procedure and reportsUnderstand the capabilities and limitations of equipment floaters, RoGators, tool bars, etc.Provide prompt, professional, and courteous customer serviceAssist grain, agronomy, and feed operations departments as neededAttends scheduled training as requestedMaintain clean, safe working environmentOther duties as assignedRequirements:
High school diploma or GED and demonstrated experience in agricultural education, or combination of education and work experiencePrior experience in operating large equipment is requiredMust have or be able to obtain a commercial pesticide applicators license with 1A, 1B, and 1C endorsementsClass A CDL preferred with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements is preferred, or the ability to obtain within a designated timeframe.Must have Forklift certification or the ability to obtain oneMechanical aptitudeForklift certification or the ability to obtainStrong communication and customer service skillsMust have all application licenses as required by State and Federal AgenciesMust be willing and able to work extended hours in-seasonPossess and maintain a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving recordBenefits:
