Project Sourcing and Procurement Leader

Your JobGeorgia-Pacific is seeking Project Sourcing and Procurement (PS&P) Leader for our Project Sourcing and Procurement Team.
The PS&P Leaders role reports to the Project Sourcing and Procurement Team Leader and supports various project related sourcing and procurement activities to help ensure projects are developed and executed in line with project key drivers.
The individual is expected to be part of or influence a project team and work closely with the relevant stakeholders to solve problems that cross disciplines.
The individual works with a high sense of urgency and must possess the ability to solve problems to meet the needs of internal customers.
The PS&P Leader drives and standardizes process improvements and presents innovative solutions to recurring issues.
A successful candidate is a team player willing to assist in areas outside of their direct responsibility, when necessary.
This role is based in Atlanta or an approved remote location.Our TeamGeorgia-Pacific's Strategic Sourcing & Procurement ('SS&P') organization is responsible for strategic category management, sourcing and procurement of critical materials & services that support more than 140 locations across the US.
The SS&P organization is currently undergoing an exciting transformation with our business partners, building new capabilities that will help identify and capture significant opportunities across pricing, total cost of ownership, and sourcing execution.
This effort is a critical element of Georgia-Pacific's continuous transformation.
It is an exciting time to be part of a growing team and at the center of the transformation to help mold the future state of the SS&P organization!What You Will DoWork with other team members to support developing and executing projects including:
Project Procurement Planning; Capital Bid & Award; RFX issuance/review/executionWork to manage multiple projects with some guidance/direction from others on the team by leveraging lessons learned and knowledge across teamsIssue purchase orders through an ERP system and ensuring delivery dates to support customer needs are met for projects being executed by the PS&P teamExecutes low/medium complexity sourcing activities related to goods or services for projectsNegotiating and executing national, regional, and local contract agreements with external vendors and managing ongoing relationshipsCollaborates with internal requestors to understand requirements (e.g., specifications, scopes of work, performance, and timing requirements)Ensures the contractual document accurately reflects the terms and conditions of purchase, including payment terms, freight terms, incoterms, and other key commercial termsAnalyzes root causes of accounts payable exceptions and takes steps to resolve and preventBe a source of knowledge on project sourcing and procurement processes necessary to execute projects, including best practices, system knowledge, categories summaries, procurement expectations, etc.
​and champion change to those processesEnsures adherence to all safety, environmental and purchasing policies and guidelinesEnsuring adherence to safety, purchasing, and environmental policies and proceduresManages own time to accomplish goals, prioritizes a variety of tasks with a sense of urgencyUses strong verbal and written communication skills to solve problems and provide status updates to customers and suppliers (e.g., commitment dates)Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)Bachelor's degree or at least 3 years of experience in purchasing or similar field (e.g.
industrial/manufacturing project team support, storeroom, inside sales, or supply chain)Experience using Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Word (document creation), Excel (spreadsheets), and Outlook (email and calendar), PowerPoint (presentations)Experience working with ERP/MRP systemsWhat Will Put You Ahead2 years of experience in Procurement, Project Management, Operations, Supply Chain or AccountingBachelor's degree in supply chain or logisticsExperiences in supporting the development or execution of industrial or manufacturing projectsPassport, SAP, Ariba system knowledgeExperience in purchasing or similar field (e.g.
storeroom, inside sales, accounting, supply chain analyst) with knowledge of purchasing process and procedures For this role, we anticipate paying $90,000 - $120,000 per year.
