RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is looking for a
Float CT Technologist
to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. As a Float CT Tech you will operate CT scanner to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes at multiple centers within the market. Provide technical support, assuring that services are provided to patients and referring specialists within professional standards and with excellent customer service.
This position is full-time. We offer a Float Differential on all hours worked. Additionally, this role is eligible for a shift differential.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
(80%) Patient Imaging
Performs routine and advanced CT procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats
Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination
Prepares patients for CT or DTI procedures that will be performed,
explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned and providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
Produces diagnostic images in assigned area and performs quality control tasks as assigned
Adjusts scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate
Converses with doctors, nurses, patients and family members as required.
Follows physicians' orders precisely and conforms to safety regulations to protect themselves, their patients, and coworkers
Maintains positive attitude and working relationships with radiologist, referring customers and other associates and peers
Accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
Maintains an orderly and clean work area to promote good safety habits for patients and co-workers
Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
(15%) Imaging Support
Maintains equipment in good working order;
cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
Assists in maintaining an updated radiographic protocol manual
Monitors medical supply inventory
Assists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise
(5%) Performs other tasks as assigned
