Job Title - Business Analyst
Location - New Castle or Newark, DE
Duration - Full Time(Permanent)
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include analyzing data sets for critical insights, patterns, and trends, as well as communicating analysis and proposing solutions to the organization. Under the direction of the Department Manager, this position coordinates development sessions with the internal Program Manager to thoroughly understand the reporting requirements and changes needed to support business requirements. This position will have responsibility for maintaining data, developing and maintaining reports, and providing thorough analytical insights. This role requires a highly disciplined self-starter with solid collaboration and communication skills who thrives on data, language, and technology.
What You'll Do:
Reporting
Updates / distributes daily operations report
Develops reporting tools to support business requirements
Constructs queries and reports designed for automated analysis
Integrates multiple data sources for reporting
Creates dashboard reports using commercial reporting software
Communicates / presents data to all levels of management
Automates reports and data outputs using commercially purchased tools
Analysis
Makes recommendations and define strategies that solve critical business problems
Data Control
Ensures that datasets are appropriate for business needs.
Reconciles data to ensure accuracy
Documentation
Creates and maintains documents for recurring process runs
Presents PowerPoint presentations
• Technical support
Collaborates and communicates effectively with internal Program Manager, as well as business sponsors, executives, and stakeholders
Must be a confident team player who is able to work well with others, mentor new team members, and provide constructive feedback
Ensures communication between IT and Operations
Identifies, define and analyzes data to support the business requirements
Creates metrics to implement and measure process improvements
Evaluates performance against corporate plans
Validates that outputs measure desired business metrics
What you'll have:
3+ years' experience in data analysis, reporting, and/or documentation
3+ years' experience SAS or SQL experience
Tableau, Power BI or other BI tool experience
Microsoft Office proficiency (3+ years)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
