About The Team The Platform and User-growth team at PICO builds the backend services to make VR/MR experience possible.
The backend services includes fundamental services like account/ user/ avatar, specific applications like friends/ sports/ user-growth and device-related services like OTA update/ notification/ Configs.Now we are looking for backend Software Engineers to enhance privacy and security, tackling unprecedented compliance challenges.
Your contributions will have a profound impact on PICO VR/MR users and promote the societal benefits of "data for good".What You'll Do Responsible for the architecture design, construction, and optimization of the User and Data Privacy solution, including user management, user data residency and protection, data privacy and compliance, end-to-end data security etc.
Undertake stability construction work, including multiple data centers globally.
Measure, monitor and improve availability, latency and overall service health.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
BS/MS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant technical field, with 3+ years of working experience.
Extensive experience in backend service development and strong Computer Science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, software design, network).
Ability to collaborate with a global team and think critically in a wider business context.
Curiosity towards new technologies and solutions, and outstanding ability to analyze and solve problems.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with one of the following general-purpose programming languages, including but not limited to:
Golang, Java, and Python.
Experience with measurement technologies, such as Web/App tracking, Privacy Sandbox.
Experience with or knowledge of messaging middleware, relational database and common backend architecture.
Experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually) The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $145000 - $355000 annually.Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
