• TELUS Health is looking for a part-time Fitness, Recreation & Wellness Consultant to join an amazing multi-disciplinary team in Cambridge.Under the direction of the Administrator, the Fitness, Recreation & Wellness Consultant will be responsible for teaching a variety of group exercise classes (onsite and virtually), creating individualized personal fitness programs for members, conducting presentations, monitoring the facility usage, organizing recreational leagues/tournaments, planning family events, providing customer service at the front desk, and creating, promoting and implementing health, recreation & wellness programs and services to all members.

• Assisting in the supervision of a 30,000 sq. ft. corporate fitness, recreation and wellness facilityProviding exceptional customer service (at front desk & throughout fitness/recreation facilityAssisting in the coordination of health promotion events and wellness programming (challenges, events, presentations)Instructing fitness classes and monitoring participationCreating, teaching and assisting with the development of virtual fitness and wellness programsMonitoring gym use to provide guidance and ensure safety of gym membersAdministration duties (membership renewal, event registration, rentals, statistics, quality assurance etc.)Closing the facility Tuesday and ThursdayAssisting in equipment maintenance managementMarketing fitness, recreation and wellness eventsAssisting with the planning, and implementation of special events (tournaments, leagues, family events, health fairs, health promotions etc.)Reporting of monthly and/or quarterly usage statsFacilitate the completion of GAQ screening forms and waivers for new members and annuallyEnsure COVID19 public health measures/cleaning protocols are followed in the gym e.g. wearing of masks, hand sanitizing, wiping equipment, restrict numbers using the gym at one time
• Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Kinesiology, Fitness or Health promotionCurrent certifications in personal training and CPR/First Aid/AEDFitness instructor certification is preferredEnergetic, confident, reliable, positive, engaging with a passion for fitness and healthWorks well as part of a teamHigh degree of self-motivation and initiativeStrong organization and time management skillsExcellent customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal)Strong computer skillsExperience in the corporate fitness & wellness field an assetWere a people-first, customer-first, purpose-driven team who works together every day to innovate and do good.
