Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with building and safety regulations to provide a safe and effective workplace; promptly address and rectify unsafe conditions.
Lead facility maintenance staff by providing direction to their team members and make decisions related to resource allocation, scheduling, and problem-solving.
Train new technicians and provide ongoing training to existing staff on proper maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
Plan and prioritize maintenance tasks to ensure efficient operations by responding promptly and accurately to facilities work orders; coordinating maintenance and repair activities with various departments and managing emergency situations efficiently.
Perform routine monthly building inspections; report routine and necessary repairs and prioritize preventive maintenance actions.
Supervise and perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures. Also, handle light electrical and plumbing tasks.
Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment necessary for maintenance activities, submit purchase orders, receipts, and related reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Respond to emergency maintenance requests and participate in on-call rotation as required.
Collaborate with other departments to support facility needs for events or special projects such as transportation and distribution of deliveries
Perform other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Position Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in facilities maintenance preferred.
Proven experience in facilities maintenance, with at least 3 years in a lead role.
Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Familiarity with safety regulations and standards related to facilities maintenance.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in using maintenance management software and basic computer skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must provide proof of Covid vaccination and booster
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
