Director of Warehouse Operations

Job Summary:

The Director of Warehouse Operations is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this role requires a strong background in warehouse management, inventory control, e-commerce, and logistics. The ideal candidate will be proactive, results-driven, and capable of managing a dynamic team.

This role is on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Management:
• Implement and streamline warehouse processes to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
• Lead and mentor a high-performance warehouse team.

Inventory Oversight:
• Maintain a deep understanding of inventory control practices and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Conduct regular audits and implement improvements as needed.

E-commerce Collaboration:
• Work closely with the e-commerce team to ensure swift and precise order fulfillment.
• Optimize e-commerce logistics to meet the demands of a fast-paced environment.

Warehouse Management System (WMS):
• Utilize WMS to enhance real-time tracking and reporting.
• Continuously adapt and optimize the WMS to accommodate rapid changes.

Shipping and Carrier Management:
• Drive cost-effective shipping solutions and negotiate favorable rates with carriers.
• Ensure the timely and efficient delivery of products.
• Develop strategies for improving and maintaining on-time shipping performance.

Compliance and Safety:
• Uphold strict compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Foster a culture of safety and conduct regular training.

People Leadership:
• Recruit, train, and empower the warehouse team.
• Provide ongoing feedback, evaluations, and development opportunities.
• Maintain a positive and agile work environment.

Resource Allocation and Budgeting:
• Develop and manage the warehouse operations budget.
• Allocate resources efficiently to meet operational goals.

HR and Employee Relations:
• Collaborate with HR on staffing requirements and workforce planning.
• Address employee issues promptly to ensure a motivated team.

Collaborations with other departments:
• Develop and maintain efficient communication processes with other departments, that are involved in the order fulfillment process.
• Develop strategies to improve and maintain collaboration with assembly department to ensure efficient processes in order fulfillment process.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (master's degree preferred).
• Proven leadership experience in fast-paced warehouse operations, with a minimum of 4 years in a senior role.
• Experience in both B2B and B2C environments, especially in e-commerce.
• Strong negotiation skills for managing carrier relationships and optimizing shipping costs.
• In-depth knowledge of inventory control, including best practices for dynamic environments.
• Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and a commitment to safety.
• Exceptional people management and leadership skills.
• Budgeting and resource allocation expertise.
• Effective communication and decision-making abilities.
• Proactive, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced setting.

Technology Proficiency:
• Familiarity with Oracle Fusion or other ERP systems and technology-driven solutions.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous.
