The Manual CNC Lathe operator specializes in manual machining operations using a CNC lathe machine, including setup, tooling, material handling, and quality inspection.

$25 - $35/hour DOESet up manual CNC lathe machines for machining operations, including tooling selection and workpiece loading.Operate manual CNC lathes to perform turning, facing, threading, and drilling operations on various materials.Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure accurate machining.Monitor machining processes, make adjustments, as necessary, and perform quality inspections to verify part dimensions and surface finish.Perform routine maintenance on machines, such as tool changes, lubrication, and cleaning, to ensure optimal performance.Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and quality standards.Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)Proven experience as a Manual CNC Lathe Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.Knowledge of machining tools, materials, and techniques.Basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills.Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset.Familiarity with CNC programming is a plus.

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operating machinery and handling tools.Adequate vision, including close vision, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate colors, for reading blueprints, inspecting parts, and operating equipment.Exposure to loud noises, dust, and coolant fluids in a manufacturing environment.Adherence to safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Drug testing and background checks are required for all Ulven positions.
