*SUMMARY
• Maintains, repairs, troubleshoots, modifies, and installs various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipment, personal and main frame computers, and terminals, industrial, medical, measuring, controlling equipment and industrial robotic devices. Applies technical knowledge of electronics principles in determining equipment malfunctions, and applies skill in restoring equipment operation, evaluates performance and reliability of prototype or production mode, and recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
• ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• + Applies basic technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions
• Replaces components, wiring circuits.
• Repairs simple electronic equipment.
• Takes test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers and oscilloscopes.
• Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
• Additional duties as assigned.
• SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• None.
• + Applies basic technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions.
• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• + Minimum of two (2) years demonstrated experience.
• Formal Technical training as an Electronics Technician (Military Specialist Training or Civilian Equivalent).
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrate competence through satisfactory progressive performance as an electronics technician.
• Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
• Ability to multi-task.
• Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.
• TRAVEL
• The expected travel time is less than 10%.
• DRIVING REQUIREMENTS
• Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver's license and be insurable on the company's automobile insurance policy.
Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 10%.
• PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Position consists of standing for long periods of time, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting boxes weighing up to 50 pounds. Frequently uses hands/fingers for handling, to work with such hand tools as lawn equipment, outdoor tools, shovels, wrenches, screwdrivers, wire cutters, pliers, and soldering irons. Seeing up close. • WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Work is primarily performed outdoors but may also be performed in a maintenance facility as well as in outdoor military training areas. Work is often performed in adverse conditions including inclement weather such as high humidity, heat, cold, high wind, rain, and various local conditions. Our mission is to train US Marines; therefore, we work side by side with them in all climates and conditions.
Employee may be exposed to sharp objects and may be exposed to some heat, loud noise, chemicals, lead and vibration. Katmai strictly adheres to the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHA) regulations. Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory if applicable. Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities, and abilities.
• WORK SCHEDULE
• 40 hours per week and occasional overtime, with prior supervisor approval, as required to maintain operations and support the mission.
