Find your place in technology of #TeamAmexHow will you make an impact in this role?As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for building user interface as well as backend APIs for managing tags provided by analytics, marketing, and external vendors.
You will also be developing technical solutions to enhance the American Express One-Tag platform.
Here is what you can expect to do in this role:
Taking your place as a core member of an agile team driving the latest development practicesWriting code and unit tests, working with API specs and automationIdentifying opportunities for adopting new technologiesLeading a team of engineers that delivers frameworks and analytical capabilities to business partnersFostering spirit of collaboration across multiple internal teamsTaking responsibility for the quality of the code and its delivery to productionPerforming code reviews & pair programming; defining and implementing best practicesSupporting internal development community integrating with your platformWorking with Database engineers to design and maintain relational and NoSQL databasesMinimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in computer science or information technology8 + years of software development experience8 + years of experience in core Java development / design / architecture6 + years of experience with cloud-based software design, building microservices, and automated testing and deployment4 + years of experience building web solutions using Angular or ReactExperience with building RESTful APIs using the following technologies:
Java Springboot, .NET Web API/MVC, NodeJS Express and Vert.xExperience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databasesExpertise in agile life-cycle management tools (JIRA/Rally), software testing standards, methods and conventionsAbility to effectively communicate with internal and external business partnersPreferred Qualifications4 + years of experience with NoSQL and relational databases2 + years of experience in designing and building solutions using Kafka or other messaging queues2 + years of experience working with Vert.x toolkitExperience with machine learning and AI is a plusKnowledge of Adobe AnalyticsMaster's DegreeQualificationsSalary Range:
$110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually + bonus + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
