Plains is currently looking to add an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join our Operations team at our Bumstead, Arizona, facility.
plains Responsibilities :
Perform repairs, calibration, and maintenance on plant electrical and instrumentation equipment in a safe, timely, and cost effective manner; Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation, including PLC control systems; Ability to interact and work effectively with both internal staff members and a contract workforce; Interface closely with Operations to coordinate electrical and instrument repairs and calibrations; Willingness to learn plant processes and operations; Ability to track and order inventory to ensure reasonable levels of critical parts and components are in stock.
Qualifications :
Minimum Grade XII education:
10 years hands-on electrical and instrumentation background, with preference given to candidates with dual ticket experience; Prior gas plant, refinery, or oilfield experience is required, preferably in an LGP facility; Experience with PLC's, SCADA, DCS, and other control systems; Basic computer skills with knowledge of MS Word/Excel and e-mail; Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills are required; Strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance; Self starter with a 'can do' attitude; Team player with desire to work within a safety and goal orientated workforce; Valid Driver's License is a condition of employment.
