Purpose of the Position: Ensure that every child, regardless of their individual challenges, receives a tailored and inclusive education. Overtime Status: Exempt

Salary Range: $65,000-$70,000 per year

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
Guides the learning process toward the achievement of IEP goals and establishes clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects.
Employs instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting stated objectives.
Assesses the mastery of student learning on a regular basis and provides progress reports as required.
Identifies and supports individualized educational needs of students on a regular basis, seeking the support of district specialists as required.
Collaborates with colleagues, students, and/or parents on a regular basis.
Assists the administration in implementing all policies and/or rules governing students life and conduct for the classroom; develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure, and maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just manner.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Skills or Qualifications:

Bachelors degree (BA) from four-year College or university
An appropriate and current Arizona Teaching Certificate
Hold a current AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Special Ed Certification

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and fumes
Requires frequent reaching, handling, sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, running, carrying, and lifting 50 or more lbs.
Must be able to see and hear within normal range with or without correction.
The noise intensity level is moderate to high
