General purpose of the job

The Territory Sales Manager is an individual contributor role with territory management and basic technical responsibilities. The overall responsibilities of this role are to develop and sustain a business strategy designed to gain or protect market share for accounts in the territory, provide basic technical service to Argos customers, lead the marketing and sales efforts within the sales territory, and to monitor the quality and performance of Argos and competitive products in the territory.

Individual accountabilities

Creates clear business strategy for key accounts & channels (e.g. increase masonry share, account penetration, protect existing base, etc.)
Develops revenue and product goals which are realistic and achievable.
Understands how to deliver value to customers - with a key emphasis on the package channel.
Identifies and understands competitive landscape.
Develops plans to maximize potential of accounts, uses good account management practices, implements District Strategies (i.e. price attainment).
Promotes the use of Argos products in the territory, with an emphasis on the masonry and stucco segments.
Provides basic technical assistance and utilizes resources as needed to satisfy product and service issues with regards to masonry and stucco trouble shooting.
Provides training and education for customers. To include a focus on "pull thru" strategies.
Gathers territory intelligence on all customers, competitors, and potential customers and maintains a realistic succession pipeline of customers that can be sold if other volumes are lost.
Develops, maintains and strengthens customer relationships.
Represent Argos and participate actively in trade associations as required.
Highlights innovation and product development opportunities via Ideaxion.
Develops an effective call planning system to ensure adequate coverage. This includes future CRM population and usage.
Effectively incorporate "pull thru" strategies to maintain and grow package channel, to include Argos color masonry offerings.
Identify service and product improvement opportunities.
Utilized Argos systems to maintain accurate forecasts, pricing, expense, and future CRM reporting.
Manage working capital goals via meeting DSO and SG&A objectives.
Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
Education

Undergraduate in Business Management or Engineering.

Technical knowledge and certifications Building materials supply or associated industries - prefer geographic / territory understanding.
Technical knowledge and certifications: MS Office.

Area of experience

Building Materials Sales.

English C2

Annual Salary Range from $84,400 to $126,600
