Functions and Responsibilities:
Understand complex fabrications and datum sequencing on blue prints
Be able to machine large and complex weldments
Review set up sheet and problem solve any concerns
Review and run right angle head program
Run all vertical and horizontal and boring bar machines
Understand basic vacuum set ups
Mentor new Team Members on machine center procedures
Use appropriate machining tools: go/no go gauges, calipers, inside micrometers, probes
Set up, operate, and tend to preventative maintenance for CNC equipment
Assist in programming customer's drawing into the machine using Virtual Gibbs/ G Code
Interpret and work from complex drawing and blue prints
Identify non-conformances during inspection of component parts and properly document such non-conformances
Notify supervisor when work received does not meet the specifications required by previous operators
Responsible to record an accurate log of job times and specifications for audit reports
Maintain clean equipment/tools and work area
Follow established safety procedures
Education:
High School/GED - required
1 year machining certification - preferred
Experience:
6+ years of machining experience
1+ years of Haas Control - preferred
1+ years of Fanuc Bridge Mill Controls - preferred
1+ years of Tosnuc - preferred
