Our General Accounting team plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of our business.
We are seeking a skilled Systems Accountant to join our team and support the wider business with spreadsheet-related issues, identifying fixes and areas for longer term improvement.
This is a fixed-term role until November 2025.
As a Systems Accountant with us, your primary responsibility will be to support various departments by managing, troubleshooting, and improving spreadsheet systems.
This role requires advanced knowledge of VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) to create, maintain, and enhance complex macros and automated solutions, as well as offer alternate system possibilities such as power query, DAX and alike.
In addition to the above you will :

Engage with relevant stakeholders to determine issues, immediate solutions and long-term fixes.
Develop, maintain and optimize VBA macros to automate and streamline processes.
Ensure integrity and accuracy in all spreadsheet-base reports and analyses.
Document processes and maintain comprehensive records of all development and improvements.
This role will also include an element of training to support staff on the use on complex spreadsheets and VBA tools.

We're looking for someone with :

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, information technology, or a related field
Proven experience as a Systems Accountant or in a similar role within an Accounting or Finance Department
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including extensive experience with VBA programming.
Ability to understand and communicate complex technical information to non-technical users.
You will be known for your excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritise.
A people person, you will be able to understand complex issues from your stakeholders and discuss the best course of action going forward.
