Education ManagerIN SHORTMilton Keynes College have an exciting opportunity for a Part Time Library Assistant to be involved in delivering library and learning resource services to offenders at HMP Huntercombe.The role as Library Assistant has several key elements which include developing a high-quality library service within the prison, supporting and developing activities with partner agencies - such as the Shannon Trust "Turning Pages" scheme, Reading Ahead, and selecting and acquiring library resources in consultation with colleagues and users to enable a vibrant provision.We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to assist in the day-to-day running of the prison library.

Extensive redevelopment has taken place over the last twenty years and there is little left of the wartime buildings.Currently Huntercombe is a Category C adult male establishment holding a solely foreign national population in order to support government priorities on the deportation of foreign national offenders.
Courses delivered within the prison include:
English, Maths, ICT, P&D, Barbering, Construction, Mentoring and ESOL.The education department working day is from 7.50am - 4.40pm Monday - Thursday & 7.50am-1.30pm Friday
