Leads a collection of different teams (mostly product teams) which have the same or related purpose to develop, implement and/or maintain products and/or services to support the achievement of an optimum experience for ING's customers.
Oversees income and expenditure for a specific product to execute P&L responsibility appropriately.

Role Expectations:


You are end-responsible for the delivery of the Product Teams in your area.
You steer the QBR process in your area, and monitor progress of the Portfolio across your Product Teams during the quarter.
To be able to efficiently do that, you build and maintain a network with stakeholders on multiple levels in the organization.
You are hierarchically the manager of the Product Leads, who in turn are managers for the people in their teams.
You inspire Product Leads to take ownership of their product, and together with them you are always looking to improve the overall delivery.
The health of People, Process and Technology is continuously monitored and you define actions for improvements where needed.
You have a vision on how to get the best out of people, in line with ING's agile way of working.
You get energy from experimenting, and use it effectively for Continuous Improvement.
You are aware of relevant compliance frameworks and regulations, and find ways to remain (or become) compliant while maintaining delivery speed and team morale - in other words, you make compliance part of the regular way of work.]
Translate risk management frameworks and principles to methodologies and procedures that allow for effective and appropriate control of financial and non-financial risks for a specific part of the organization, such as a product or a product category.
Question and investigate the application of risk management frameworks and intervene if necessary.
Identify and manage stakeholders up to management level, finding out their needs/issues/concerns and reacting to these by leading and coordinating the development of stakeholder engagement plans to support the communication of business information and decisions while staying true to the Data strategy and vision of DBNL.
You are part of the Data Management Leadership Team.
On tribe level, you own the risk journeys for data and processes - as such, you work with internal and external auditors and follow-up on agreed Risk items.
The scope of your area includes all the Products of the bank - Advice Products like Mortgages, Direct Products including credit cards and debit cards, and all data delivery for Private Banking and Business Banking.
You are well versed in developments in the field of Data Management.
You see why Data Products are important, and understand the concepts of Data Mesh.
About you
Education:
Master's degree in technical / business field (engineering, computer science, econometrics or equivalent)
Experience:
Substantial general work experience together with comprehensive 12+ years job or domain related experience in own area of expertise in the Data World
Has had managerial or leadership experience of managing a diverse team
Experience and/or knowledge of leading an area of Data products which are continuously improving based on business needs
Competencies:
Experience in defining strategies and policies within medium to long time frames
Sound experience in building and executing strategy roadmaps
Demonstrable business-to-IT affinity
A proven track record in backlog management and resource planning
Experience in data product/service management and development
Entrepreneurial mindset
