Overview

We are currently looking for a Global Procurement Director to join our team in Cork.
Whilst this role will sit in Cork you will be partnering with stakeholders across globally.

We are the concentrate team in PepsiCo (PGCS) working across the Beverage, Nutrition and Snacks categories to deliver concentrate for many of PepsiCo's mega brands including Gatorade, 7Up and Pepsi.
We are at the heart of PepsiCo products, sourcing ingredients to manufacture more than 1,200 recipes for our brands.
We are a global organisation, situated in 16 locations across 9 countries offering careers in various functions from Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Finance, R&D, HR and IT.

The Global Procurement Director will be responsible for leading the Procurement Operations and Indirects for our Concentrate Business, guaranteeing that policy and compliance are met.
The person will have the responsibility to standardise our procurement operations execution, work closely with PEP Sectors to find opportunities to leverage scale and create incremental value to the organisation.

Responsibilities

Develop, execute, and lead long term sourcing strategy for Indirects and Direct Materials for all PGCS locations over a multi-year horizon and ensure delivery of short term AOP targets.

Partner with Global R&D, Global SQA, Sector SC key stakeholders and MSO to understand Region dynamics & functional needs (macroeconomic, business needs) for strategy development to ensure maximum business value.

Strategic Supplier relationship management and development to unlock innovation to deliver cost effective PEP+ and portfolio transformation targets, and to unlock consumer value supporting Design to Value and Value Engineering.

Ensures full business alignment and resource allocation to deliver strategy.

Understand key cost drivers, industry trends and best practices to design/implement sourcing strategies for all categories in scope.
Develop and maintain long term pricing mechanisms to drive sustainable competitive advantage

Lead supplier performance and contract compliance - providing regular financial, service and quality status and action plans.

Partner & engage with senior stakeholders (Market Supply Officer, General Manager, PGCS Executive Leadership Team) and Global Categories to design and implement sourcing strategy for all categories in scope.

Develop and execute comprehensive category risk management program including financial risk assessment and Business Continuity Planning strategies to ensure supply assurance.

Manage executive level, cross functional priorities, and relationships to deliver sustainable year on year benefits on Productivity and Cash Flow and accomplish function strategic objectives.

Develop internal capability and organization for Procurement Operations

Qualifications

Essential Skills:

BA/BS in Finance, Engineering degree

Excellent Functional knowledge (+10 years in leading Procurement/Supply Chain roles):
Depth of different aspects of Procurement such as sourcing, category management, processes and tools in a VUCA environment, preferably within Food & Beverage industry

Experience in sourcing processes and procurement best practices, with experience of implementing them in a global environment

Highly effective interpersonal skills - excellent negotiator and strong communication and influencing skills to all organizational levels and particularly at executive level.
Demonstrated ability to develop credible business relationships with Operations Directors, Procurement Directors, Supply Chain Managers and VP.

High level of business acumen

Solid/Strong understanding of general business economics and key quality and cost drivers

Strong analytical & financial skills

Organizational savvy

Ability to translate complex situations into executive level communication

Ability to lead and influence large teams based in different locations globally, who may not report directly to the position.

Results Oriented - comfortable setting and delivering against bold, stretch targets

Excellent language skills -English essential, both verbal and in writing.

Comfortable working within complex matrix organization

MBA or similar
