Building Services - Engineering Tech Lead

Position Overview The job of our Building Services and Technology Lead is a crucial part of our product offering; delivering the most advanced work environments for our clients.
We are looking for a Building Services and Technology Lead with experience in innovative building systems and the latest in smart building technology.
You will have a diverse background and be ready to lead our European Building Services and Smart Building businesses.
You will also be a key member in project leadership of all MEP Engineering and Smart Building related services through the entire project life-cycle.
You will partner with both our design-build and design consultancy teams, as well as our consulting and delivery partners, to design and deliver inclusive immersive, and innovative work environments for our clients.
Your role is of upmost importance, helping to ensure the design intent is preserved and therefore mitigate potential issues during construction.
As our Building Services and Technology Lead, you will be responsible for day-to-day management of several projects at the same time.
As a key member of this global team, you'll also be responsible for the ongoing strategy and resourcing of the business, as well as daily coordination with our global engineering, technology and sustainability teams.
As the market shifts to embracing broad-scale decarbonisation, your expertise and foresight will be crucial in supporting and guiding our global team to meet these changing and challenging demands.

Many of our best in class solutions are implemented and vetted in our own 'Living Lab' offices, this is a key objective for this role to continually lead the team through and partner with our heads of office.
In conjunction with our ongoing living lab initiative, educating our design and delivery teams regularly regarding what we have tested, and what we need to be offering clients is crucial to the successful expansion of the business.
Primary Responsibilities:
Day to day management and leadership of the internal team - you will be responsible for the sustainable growth of the business through excellent project delivery, team development, and securing work.
Provide leadership and mentoring of your team to support the growth of the business.
Lead internal and external project teams related to our MEP and Smart Building Technology services - in consultancy and design-build workplace projects (interior fit out) Work with clients and project teams to define project scope, scheduling, budgeting, and construction costs.
Support building services engineering, contractors, and technical personnel to ensure design, costing, timing and quality are in line with project requirements.
Assist PM and procurement team for technical and commercial evaluation, value engineering solutions during bidding process.
Coordination with architects and other external consultant to establish the design brief; work with our partners to deliver through the design and construction phases.
Inspect and supervise various MEP disciplines during construction and provide solutions to overcome site problems Work with our internal teams as a stakeholder to improve our sustainable operations and effect our ESG programs.
Collaborate with our architecture, design, strategy and sustainability teams to develop best-in-class design and specify cutting-edge building systems that prioritize low carbon emissions, high operational efficiency, and enhance occupant well-being and satisfaction.
Develop new client relationships and expand existing relationships by delivering strategic consulting advice, excellent value, and quality service.
Work with the Client Services Team to develop opportunities and support business development efforts including responding to client RFPs for new projects, and participating in client interviews and pitch presentations.
Travel to client projects, other M Moser offices, and industry events, as required.
Qualifications & Key Competencies 10 years of work experience in Building Services Engineering.
University Degree in Building Services Engineering or related field (Electrical and Mechanical).
Confident leading a team and experience mentoring junior team members.
Familiar with relevant codes and standards.
Experience inspecting and supervising various MEP disciplines during construction and providing solutions to overcome site problems.
Coordinating & reviewing MEP Design BOQ and documentation with third party consultants, vendors (internal & external stakeholders).
Able to conduct a T&C procedure and write T&C plan.
Experience responding to RFPs, developing fees for projects and participating in client interviews.
Experience working on projects with sustainability, low carbon, or low energy goals and ambitions.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all types and levels of professionals.
Ability to manage multiple competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
