We are partnered with a leading Alternative Financial Services business who are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to join their team in Surrey. As the Finance Manager you will be involved in supporting process improvements, enhancing systems and general operational robustness within the Finance department. Overseeing and control day-to-day financial activities ensuring accuracy and timeliness of quality financial reporting.
As the Senior Finance Manager you will be:
Responsible for completion and review of month-end reconciliations and escalation.
Preparing group consolidations, and completing month-end and year-end journals.
Responsible for the day-to-day financial activities and transaction processing, identifying and driving opportunities for improvement
Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures to identify, manage, and mitigate risk.
Leading the drafting of year-end statutory accounts, coordinating year-end audit, and completing statutory and regulatory returns.
Supporting ad hoc tactical and strategic improvement projects driving the future capability of the Finance team as a whole.
You will need:
Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a minimum of 5 years PQE experience.
Financial reporting and statutory accounts experience.
Experience working within Financial Services.
Strong technical background in financial reporting and controls, with knowledge of core accounting principles, current best practice and latest accounting standards
