Manager Infrastructure & Network Services

As the Manager, Infrastructure & Network Services you are responsible for the planning, directing, and coordinating of infrastructure support and operations services throughout the corporation. You will resolve operational issues related to IT infrastructure, communications infrastructure, operations, and security, this involves working with third parties, such as data centre, cloud, and network service providers, to provide operational leadership.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the activities of a manager, including management of an operating budget, participating in strategic planning, budgeting for special projects and improvement initiatives.
Responsible for hiring, performance management and development planning for staff, including identifying training and development needs. Ensure technical expertise of the unit is maintained.
Work in coordination with IT Management to ensure policies and procedures are implemented and support the department and division's objectives.
Plan (financially and operationally) for ongoing upkeep and maintaining currency of network, telecommunications, and cloud infrastructure.
Provide leadership, direction, and expert guidance on the following functions:
Network and Cloud Infrastructure and Services
Communications Infrastructure and Services
Batch and Print Operations
Manage on site staff in the effective and efficient delivery of all IT Operations support, network and operations function, ensuring day to day operational delivery, customer problem resolution, customer satisfaction, and meeting of service levels as defined by service standards.

Qualifications:

Degree in Computer Science, Business or applied Science with a demonstrated record of continuing education in the Continuous Improvement, Information Technology and Leadership fields.
Eight years of related experience in the IT Industry, including a minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience, related to Cloud Network operations, On-Prem Network Operations, Telecommunications, IT support and operations management.
Advanced knowledge of Cloud Services such as EntraID, Azure VMWare Solution, and Azure Firewall configurations and policies.
Advanced knowledge of network communications, including cellular products and services, secure connectivity platforms, and Zero Trust Network Access.
Experiential knowledge of migrating on-prem data centres to the Cloud.
Detailed understanding and experience with:
Managing support and operations staff of a medium-sized systems environment including, network, telecommunications, systems management, IT operations, and data centres.
Complex, multi-platform environments including technologies such as Wintel, VMware / virtualized environments, Cloud and on prem network services and devices.
Information Technology Governance frameworks, such as the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Safe Agile Framework (SAFe) and Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (CobiT).
