Job Overview

Summer Student - Labourer, Field

Location: Fort McMurray, AB

Reporting to: Foreman, Field Services

Shift: 5x2; Monday to Friday; 6:00am- 2:30pm

Responsibilities

Track and manage inventory on consumables and usage.
Arrange and organize materials for jobs.
Maintain checklists for shop tasks.
Experience in production and manufacturing environment.
Show some skill with hand tools and assembly and/or fabrication skills.
Duties may include moving machinery, tools and products to correct shop locations.
Duties in the manufacturing process for general labor tasks.
Deburring parts / prep for paint work.
Assist Journeymen welders, mechanics and machinists. Follow directions from peers and supervisors.

Qualifications

Completion of high school diploma
A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a manufacturing environment
Qualified candidates will have strong work ethic and mechanical ability
Able to lift up to 50lbs.
Welding/ grinding skills an asset.
Previous related experience an asset.
Valid Driver's License and own transportation are required.
OSSA, CSTS, Class C First Aid.
Must have a strong safety focus.
Progression to trades positions is possible with experience
