Financial Reporting Accountant

Vestcor has a full-time position available for a Financial Reporting Accountant.

Located in Fredericton, Vestcor is the largest investment manager in Atlantic Canada providing global investment management services to eleven different client groups representing approximately $21.0 billion in assets under management.
We also provide administration services to eleven pension plans and four employee benefit plans.

Reporting to the Director Finance Operations and working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Reporting Accountant is responsible for quarterly and annual financial reporting for Vestcor Investment Division's Pension Fund clients, the Vestcor Investment Entities, and the annual financial reporting for Vestcor Administration clients.
Key responsibilities will include the preparation of financial statements, tax returns and working with external auditors.

The ideal candidate requires a Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA), good fundamental knowledge of Canadian GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards and five years of experience in accounting.
The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills, advanced excel spreadsheet skills, strong user of computer applications and possess analytical and problem-solving skills.
Written and spoken competence in English is required.
