Irving Shipbuilding Inc. is seeking a Material Planner .

This is a permanent full-time role based in Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia. Qualifications:

• Education: Post Secondary Degree in business administration, engineering, or related disciplines required.

o Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience

• Previous experience in a production environment is preferred.

• Proven ability to achieve high performance levels in a complex fast-moving environment.

• Proven experience adapting to new computer programs and systems.

• Previous work with an MRP system is preferred .

All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure material is available and ordered prior to starting a construction unit.

• Update weekly material reports.

• Attend weekly status meetings on material availability in support of the production schedule.

• Enter material status within MRP system daily.
