Financial Analyst

The role holder will take charge of the financial planning analysis, business forecast and financial management reporting.
The role will be highly exposed to Fund services business planning, budgeting and forecasting process across the markets including conducting variance analysis, leading a business partnering role with the country management team.
The role holder will take part ad-hoc various exciting projects and collaborate with various international and local stakeholders, spearheading the continues business optimization planning for Amicorp Fund Services ('AFS')Main Responsibilities

  • PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Produce the draft annual business plan for review by the Finance Director/ CFO, obtaining full strategic input from senior management team in line with Group policies and timeframes
    • Budgeting & forecasting of expense and revenue, including stress and sensitivity analysisç
    • Work closely with the AFS country teams to create budgets and to manage costs; Analyze AFS performance using key performance metrics
    • Budget review & monitoring, and re-forecasting if required
    • Prepare and automate monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages, including detailed variance explanations against budget and forecast to understand performance drivers; Ensure that all reporting deadlines are met
    • Derive and perform business analysis based on IFRS and non-IFRS covenants
    • Run profitability and performance reports for the month end analysis; preparation of monthly sales credit report and chargeability and performance report
    • Contributing to company financial strategy and decision making process
    • Responsible for analysis of historical financials, variance explanations, updated forecast with risks and opportunities to current plan and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
    • Work with Financial Controller to review and update forecasts to ensure that these are accurate, complete and include all known issues
    • Flag estimated financial impact of emerging issues
    • Update the rolling P&L, working capital and cash flow forecasts on a monthly basis with the latest information and any variances are fully understood and communicated to the relevant parties
    • Collecting and analyzing quantitative data to develop relevant reports leading to cost reductions
    • Proactively identify opportunities to resolve finance defects and improve, scale, or simplify finance tools across AFS.
    • Answer all Group and country budget and office performance related requests when required
  • OTHER DUTIES
    • Undertake the role of director, trustee, nominee, manager, partner, secretary, authorized signatory or any related position in internal entities or client entities of Amicorp Group, where necessary and required by the Management.
    • Undertake such other duties, related to the position, as may from time to time be agreed with Management.
Qualifications, skills, and experience
  • University degree in economics, business administration, finance or similar specialization; Accounting qualifications with management accounting experience; CIMA qualification is preferred
  • At least 3-5 years' experience in the Financial industry with good exposure to the fund services industry
  • Being able to operate independently and work with offices in different locations and able to deal with multiple projects
  • Strong commercial mindset, proactive, independent, self-motivated and results oriented
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Communication in Spanish or Portuguese would be an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, solution driven, highly organized and detail-orientated with good decision making and time management skills.
    Hands-on and takes accountability to deliver solutions and results
  • Ability to adapt and work in a smaller, dynamic local team environment; along with being part of a bigger matrix organization Proven leadership and team player skills, with ambition to excel in the role
  • Experience in use of recognized accounting software for preparing accounting and financial statements
  • Capability to work under time pressure and in a dynamic multi-cultural business environment
