Job Summary:

As the Communications Specialist, you will oversee the communication and engagement efforts on a major Infrastructure project. In order to be successful in this position, you will need experience in managing communications for large-scale transportation projects, a deep understanding of government communications processes, and the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.

Thoroughly reviews the project schedule to understand and carryout all communications and engagement obligations
Creates and executes a comprehensive communication plan aligning with Project Agreement requirements
Supports Province's communication by assisting in communicating project value, benefits, and progress to stakeholders
Provides real-time updates on traffic changes caused by the project
Proactively addresses concerns and fosters positive relationships with stakeholders
Issues notices to stakeholders regarding project impacts and ensures transparency
Actively participates in relevant committees, including the Traffic Liaison Group
Manages and coordinates all incoming media requests related to the project
Collaborates with the internal teams to gather information and materials for media use
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in communications or any related discipline
Demonstrated knowledge of managing traffic, construction, and operations communications for transportation projects
Experience with working with government communications processes and policies
Developing traffic and communications strategies with the input of multiple stakeholders
Exceptional with managing issues related to transportation or other infrastructure construction projects
Ability to plan and manage engagement for transportation construction projects
