Our client is looking for an on site Data Center and Cloud engineer to work on a contract basis.
Location: Calgary
Duration: 12 months
Responsibilities:
Data Center Engineering and Technologies:
• Design, implement, and manage data center infrastructure.
• Develop robust data processing pipelines to support data center engineering solutions.
• Ensure data quality and integrity through comprehensive testing and troubleshooting.
• Integrate data center engineering solutions into the overall workforce management system.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams during the implementation lifecycle.
Cloud Engineering:
• Conduct cloud engineering assessments to optimize cloud-based solutions.
• Manage cloud engineering services to enhance performance and efficiency.
Requirements:
1. On-prem Server and Data Center Management:
• Experience with on-prem servers and data center technologies.
• Proficiency in VMware.
2. Cloud Platforms:
• Expertise in Azure and AWS.
3. Server and Systems Administration:
• Experience with server OS upgrades.
• Knowledge of Active Directory (AD) and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
• General server administration tasks.
• Act as a technical lead and liaison for offshore teams, without direct personnel management.
• Demonstrate strong coordination skills to ensure effective communication and project execution.
