This role will have exposure to own the general ledger, manage the implementation of robust financial controls and the development of scalable accounting automation.If you have a strong track record in an Audit or Financial Controller role, have a genuine interest in accounting automation, and want the opportunity to push the limit of what you are capable of, then we want to know.Sound like a bit of you? Get in touch What you'll be doingManaging finances and overseeing financial control in UAEOwning the general ledger and building an objective understanding for all its underlying transactionsLooking for synergies and automation opportunities within Accounting and wider FinanceCoordinating the accounting and month end closing processEnsuring accurate and timely closing of the books for monthly and annual reportingPreparing analysis on movements in key general ledger accountsManaging the accounting policy, ensuring that it is up to date and latest changes in IFRS and Group policies are implementedSupporting entity set up in UAEParticipating in annual and interim auditsContributing to and define consolidation as well as financial control processes and proceduresPreparing/reviewing management and statutory reportingWhat you'll need10+ years of experience in finance functions, preferably with experience within a banking or financial services environmentTo be a chartered Accountant, trained in a reputable practiseStrong accounting knowledge, with proven experienceExcellent attention to detail with the ability to unravel complex accounting queriesKnowledge of UAE tax regulationsAbility to comprehend and narrate financial records for external stakeholdersTo have a positive attitude:
