RegistrarPosition SummaryWhether on the phone or in the clinic, the Registrar is often the first person to greet and work with patients who choose Access Community Health Centers for their care, so outstanding customer service skills, compassion, and empathy are critical in this role.
The Registrar will work effectively on a team and communicate respectfully based on shared goals and mutual respect.
They will accurately schedule and register patients seeking an appointment.
The Registrar creates new medical records, enters, and verifies demographic, account, and coverage information, schedules appointments, and takes and routes messages to clinic staff.
The Registrar ensures that patients flow through the scheduling and registration processes quickly and efficiently following consistent processes, while also delivering great experiences through compassionate interaction.
The Registrar will also determine the needs of patients and assists in connecting to appropriate resources and provides information to resolve less complex issues.
If a patient requires additional intervention, the Registrar determines the next course of action including forwarding to or consulting with the appropriate Access leadership.
The Registrar requires extensive knowledge of Access Community Health Centers for the purpose of addressing and routing patient concerns and questions.
The Registrar will support department and inter-departmental workflows as needed.Desired candidate would have the following qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
• A High School diploma or equivalent • A minimum of one year of customer service/telephone/reception experience • Experience in the use of a personal computer and be proficient at keyboarding/typing and use of various Internet applications and email Desired Qualifications:
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel software programs • Fluency in English and Spanish • Previous medical/dental appointment scheduling or registration experience • Medical/dental terminology knowledge • Experience with EPIC or other electronic health record software system Compensation and Benefits:
