CDL-A and CDL-B Independent Contractor Truck Drivers.
Star Fleet believes its most valuable asset is our fleet of independent hauling contractors which is why we strive to provide them with fair pay, valuable benefits, and flexible schedules. We are now hiring independent contractors with CDL-A or CDL-B license and small tow vehicles for our Driveaway Division that is located in Middlebury, IN to deliver RV Motor Homes across the USA and Canada.
Independent Contractor Compensation & Benefits:
- Per-Trip Compensation
- Rates per Loaded Mile - $0.90 - $1.16
- Single Point of Contact for Each Driver
- Flexible Dispatch - Take Jobs as YOU See Fit
- Quick Driver Pay (Up to Three Times Daily)
- 50% Paid Upfront at Pickup
- Upfront Advances
- $0 Baseplate Fees
- $0 Processing Fees
- $0 Fuel Tax Fees
Independent Contractor Minimum Requirements:
- CDL A or B license required to operate motor homes with GVWR of 26,001 lbs. or more
- No Air Brake restrictions
- Operator or chauffer (for hire) license required for combination loads 26,000 lbs. or less (depends on state you are licensed in)
- Must be at least 23 years of age
- Tow vehicle must be presentable and have a curb weight of less than 3,800 lbs
- Have a valid driver license for the vehicles they will operate
- Valid Passport, passport card, or enhanced driver license for deliveries into or through Canada
- Able to pass a DOT physical and obtain at least 1 year of eligibility on the physical
- Have at least 1 year of verifiable CDL over the road experience if operating a semi-tractor
- Have at least 6 months verifiable experience in operating similar vehicles that you will be operating while under contract or lease with Star Fleet Trucking
- Must be approved by Star Fleet Trucking s insurance company
- Although Star Fleet Trucking is not a forced dispatch operation, we do expect that independent contractors will assist in getting the customer s freight to locations that may not always meet your likes.
