Microsoft has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) in the Cloud+
Artifical intelligence (AI) Silver Team.
This team is responsible for deploying and operating services within an air gapped environment, including the infrastructure for collaboration.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with engineers who enable a broad set of Azure services to be consumed by internal and external customers in highly secured and regulated industries.
This role will focus on establishing the Program Management Office (PMO) in a more traditional sense focused on the business.
You will partner deeply across Engineering, Microsoft Federal Sales teams, and our business partners like Finance, Legal, and Compliance to ensure that our sales strategies align to engineering realities and that our capture activities are driving material outcomes for our customers and our business.
This role will navigate between the engineering and sales teams ensuring that our engineering teams and leadership understand and mitigate any risk associated with our capture strategy as we grow this business.
You will accomplish this by 1) understanding customer landscape, pipeline, and vignettes, 2) playing a general contractor (GC) role across key stakeholder teams to include MsFed Sales, Finance, and Azure to drive broad awareness and alignment on the business and capture strategies through detailed reporting, and 3) help shape and execute Air Gap Cloud (AGC) capture strategies specific to partners, products, and opportunities to realize our business goals.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
- Or equivalent experience
- 3+ year(s) experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
- 4+ years people management experience.

Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:- Candidates must have an active TS/SCI and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI (with polygraph).
This role will require candidates to maintain the TS/SCI (with polygraph) clearance.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.

- Clearance Verification:
This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements.

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of industry experience in , program management offices (PMO), financial reporting, compliance, opportunity capture with an emphasis on government and industry customers that are mission focused and/or deal with sensitive and classified workloads
- Knowledge of government customer base and defense industrial base partner ecosystems and the ability to leverage partner solutions to solve customer needs and capture contracts
- Deep understanding and experience of the Intelligence and/or DoD customers to include key challenges, priorities, and stakeholders
- Proven initiative and influence with demonstrated ability to solve challenging and complex problems and to course correct projects at risk
- Experience tailoring processes and governance structures to balance rigor and consistent results while moving fast and driving innovation.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, navigate uncertain situations, and drive for clarity
- Proven problem solver
- Dependable communication skills, verbal and written, with experience communicating to multiple stakeholder groups such as engineering, customers, end-users, and executives.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with lots of context switching.
Technical Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S.
is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year.
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
