We are seeking a Marine Estimator to assess the cost of projects by evaluating labor, materials, and time requirements. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to develop project timelines and budgets.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of marine construction and repair processes, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
• Marine Estimator Responsibilities* Prepare cost estimates for marine construction and repair projects.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotes and ensure accurate pricing.
• Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations.
• Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for new projects.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, project costs, and revisions.
• Marine Estimator Position Requirements* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in marine construction estimating or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of marine construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project).
