A Registered Nurse (RN) primarily cares for patients by monitoring them, administering medications, consulting with health care providers, updating patient records and educating patients and their patients' families on disease and post hospital treatment.
RN's work in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, doctors' offices, outpatient facilities and nursing homes.
A utilization review nurse carefully records information regarding patient care on the back end of hospitals and doctor s office visits in hopes of keeping healthcare costs low for both patients and their respective organizations.
